Saturday, we hung the kitchen curtains up in the nook and it definitely makes a difference. Now it doesn't feel like people (or chipmunks) are staring at us while we eat.
Sunday, Mom and Dad Kenyon came over and we covered the pool (finally!) and finished putting the gutter guards on the gutters. We also did a little bit of raking (2 Lawn Bags worth) and changed some light bulbs that were out. We're still trying to figure out how to get the flood lights to turn on, but at least the walkway lights and garage sconces are working. We also got caught up on the mounds of laundry we had to do (and boy that was nice!!)
Patrick and I are going stove shopping this week. I sure hope we can find something we like and that we can afford. I'd also like to hit up Ikea sometime soon and see if we can make our house look more like a home and less like a museum where no one lives. Maybe we'll hang some of the pictures we got too.
Hoping to get thank you cards done and out on or before Thursday, just a couple dozen or so left to go. Once that's all done, I can have a real dining room again (not that we use it!!). :)
